Position Summary

The St. Clair Catholic District School Board is currently seeking Emergency Occasional Teachers to fill in daily absences for Ontario certified teachers. Emergency Teachers are notified on the day of the absence if there are no qualified occasional teachers available. In order to be considered as an Emergency Occasional Teacher, applicants must currently be registered in a Bachelor of Education program and completed a minimum of one successful practicum placement.

Qualifications and Skills

To be considered for an interview, please ensure the following documents are included in your application package:

• Practicum Teaching Reports.
• Catholic Pastoral Letter of Reference (please use the following template: Catholic Pastoral Reference). If you are unable to provide a Catholic Pastoral letter of reference at this time, please submit a Teacher Declaration of Commitment (please refer to the following template: Teacher Declaration of Commitment).
• Completed Faith Journey Application (Available on the board website at www.st-clair.net).
• References.
• Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector (within six (6) months) will be required upon hire.
